Annual Urbalist Earth Day

Urbalist Earth Day is a celebration of our sacred planet grounded in African and Asian Diasporic and Indigenous traditions, histories, practices, and wisdoms. It is not only a day for joy, rest, learning, and wellness but also a call to climate action that aims to inspire deep and sustained reverence, devotion, and commitment to caring for our precious earth.

This collaborative offering to our communities is organized by five herbalists and land stewards: Suhaly Bautista-Carolina of Moon Mother Apothecary, Lynsey Ayala of Bread x Butta, Frances Perez-Rodriguez, Arvolyn Hill of GoldFeather, and Laraib Ali of LoveHappy. Together, we unite our knowledge, creativity, desires, and skills to offer free workshops, activations, sound baths, meditations, and giveaways to 100+ participants. We are joined by experienced and budding herbalists, farmers and farm workers, gardeners, land stewards, families, and people of all ages who are committed to honoring the planet through unique, creative, nature-based experiences on Earth Day.

We gather annually in April in NYC for a powerful day of exchanging the many ways in which we demonstrate reverence to the land, Mother Earth, and its life-giving blessings.

If you are interested in sponsoring the 3rd Annual Urbalist Earth Day (Saturday, April 26, 2025), please e-mail moonmotherapothecary@gmail.com
